Photography After-school club with Antonia Penia are back this autumn at her studio in Stoke Newington Church Street.

If your child loves creativity, storytelling, and exploring the world through a lens, this after-school club is the perfect place to nurture that passion for students from 8 to 15 years old. Private classes are also available for all ages. Don't hesitate to get in touch with Antonia.


The term begins on weekdays and weekends in September; any child can join the classes at any time. What We Offer:
  • All cameras and materials provided (children may bring their own camera if preferred).
  • Classes designed for beginners and curious minds—no experience needed!
  • Fun, hands-on learning with photo walks around the vibrant Stoke Newington neighbourhood (with parental permission).
  • A creative balance of technical skills and artistic expression.
What Students Will Learn:
  • How to use a camera: settings, lenses, and light.
  • Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and white balance.
  • Composition techniques.
  • Photography styles: Portraits, Light Painting, Video and editing with CapCut, Landscape, Macro, Architecture, Food, and Reportage.
  • Creative thinking through visual storytelling.
  • Studio lighting with professional lighting equipment.

Antonia Penia excels in her artistic practice and shares her knowledge and skills as a Photography Educator at The National Portrait Gallery Museum, Guest Lecturer at the London College of Fashion, and her well-known after-school club at the Spanish Institute in Portobello Road since 2015. Her dedication to teaching is further exemplified by her role as a therapeutic photography facilitator, trained in 'The Look Again Methodology'. In her workshops, she combines the concepts of well-being and photography, inspiring her students to explore the therapeutic aspects of photography.
